South African Rapper AKA Short Dead in Durban
AKA Award-winning rapper Kiernan Forbes, popularly known as AKA is dead. According to News24, the 35-year-old rapper was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night, which was his brithday. A first responder at the scene, who spoke on condition of anonymity, Forbes was shot while standing on the pavement when gunfire rang out shortly after 10 PM. At the time of his death, AKA was standing outside the Wish Restaurant when he was shot. As reported by News24, two unknown cars are believed to have opened fire just before 10pm. KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda confirmed that a "well-known rapper" was gunned down in Florida Road, Durban on Friday evening just after 10 PM. "I can confirm that two men were killed and one of them is a well-known rapper.
